For the second strait game the Jupiter Warriors scored 12 runs and recorded a mercy rule victory at Doug Ferguson Field in Jupiter. The 18-2 Warriors defeated district rival Wellington 12-2 in 6 innings. Starting pitcher Scott Danek gave up 2 runs early but settled in for another stellar performance. The senior earned his 6th victory and recorded 8 strikeouts. Senior Parker Hamilton pitched a perfect final frame striking out 2 of the 3 batters he faced. The Warriors pounded out 13 hits led by senior Kyle Keatts who went 2-4 with a triple, a double, and 3 RBI for Jupiter. Senior Peter Sitaras reached base 4 times recording a triple and 3 runs scored. Senior Kyle Vesnesky also reached safely 4 times and scored 3 runs. Senior Pat Walther was 2-3 with 2 RBI for the Warriors. Junior catcher Logan Heiser singled twice, walked, and tallied 2 RBI. Senior Hunter Halsey went 2-3 with a double and a sac fly RBI. Senior Johnny McCarthy chipped in with a double and a walk. Junior Lance Fry delivered a 2 RBI walk off double that ended the game in the 6th. The Warriors will play their final district 9-8A game at Palm Beach Central on Friday April 12th at 4:30pm.
